The History of Glue

Yep, Bounce is reading the History of Glue.
It's so good he can't put it down.

Thanks to Brad!

First Christmas with Bounce

As I attempt a late afternoon nap, Bounce basks in the glory of the Christmas Season.

I guess it's been a while!!!

If Only There Were More Time

The Boy has been studying marketing

I stole the image from Sarah, who gave me permission to use in blog post below.
Maybe I can bribe her with Marshmallows.

Blue

When one always has their head in the dishwasher, one cannot be surprised
when drops of Hawaiian Punch Blue Raspberry end up on their perfectly white nose.

Ham

After eight days of partying, the exhausted boy sports some ham.

Slinky

The Japanese have developed the most life-like Slinky ever:

Photo of Ruthie by Sarah.
Her comment, when we were about to pick up Shirley and Bounce was:
"Get these Shelties out of here!"

Brotherhood Protectorate of Elk

Shirley and Bounce run into a local gang of ruffians.
The BPOE.  And their leader.  The little guy.
He is the badass.  Billy.

The Three R's

I was going to buy this book for Shirley.
Bounce doesn't like Fiction.

Kitchen Help

There is so much food on these plates!

Shirley says her bedtime prayers.

God bless Bounce.  I didn't think I'd like him.  But I love him.
And may the squirrels be damned to hell and starvation.
And damnation.
And the birds too.
And may the gophers be damned.  And if a dog comes into our yard.
Or if a car drives on our street.
Or a white van passes us on the road.
Wait, those aren't prayers.
I'm sorry god.
A squirrel distracted me.
I thank god for this couch.
And this blanket.
I hate the pillows so I push them to the floor.
I love the floor.

What? I always lie down here.

"Okay, I'd take some meat.  Or cheese.  Or a carrot.  Yeah, meat.
Or some sauce.  Or milk.  Or spaghetti.  Or cake.  Or apples.
Or juice.  Or capers.  Whaaaat?   Caaaapperrs?  Or, um, ketchup.
Or pickles.  Or yogurt.  Oh, Ice Cream.  Yeah.
I hope he keeps the door open a long time."

Orange toy

I'm not sure what the orange toy is.
But Bounce really tore into it this morning, so this afternoon,
Shirley showed Bounce how it's done.

Sue was interpreting for the deaf.

Dixon

I think Dixon is looking for more blog posts from Bounce

(the blogger has just returned from vacation)

Thanks to Sarah for images and commentary.
Thanks to Dixon for caring.

"What's up, Chuck?"

Quietly, the boy discovers the fresh tomato.
After documentation, and upon the end of the work day, the front door opens to reveal 14 entirely consumed and un-chewed tomatoes waiting on the floor.

As some would say:  "What's up, Chuck?"

Whhhaaaatt????

Confusion on both sides of the screen.

Up

Downward-facing dog sees only frogs.

Upward-facing dog just discovered bird.

Shirley spotted this bird on a ledge staring at a wall one inch in front of it's face.
Shirley wanted this bird in her belly.  Sue scooped it up and moved it to safety.
The bird allowed me to do it's portrait before flying into the woods.

Time out

For some reason, the young boy
was given a "Time Out".

Update:  The blogger wasn't paying enough attention to his subject,
and mistakenly thought that all sables were Neff, but of course, the sables
included Bunny, and Dixon.  And the sable pictured above is Bunny, not Neff.
And Bunny is perhaps holding her purse with her "charge-a-plate" and
waiting for the sign to "go shopping. "

Nephew after walk

Poor boy.... covered in burrs.

Later on he cleaned up real good!

Guests come to Ice Station Zebra

Sarah and Clem and Nephew bring Renae and Bacchi out for a visit, with cupcakes.

A great afternoon.

Khamsin told me of her cat:  Quasar.

Memories

The best lunch EVER!

The Way of the Bowl

See the Bowl.
Be the Bowl.
Follow the Bowl,
wherever it may lead.

O.C.D. on display

Shirley in her Happy Place.

Carrots

Every morning Sue gets up at 4:00 a.m.  It used to be that Shirley and Bounce would get up an hour or so later so as to go outside for a bit.  But now Bounce wakes up at 4:00 and dutifully follows Sue downstairs to the refrigerator for his morning carrot snack.  He gets super excited and waits impatiently at the fridge door until he gets a bite sized carrot, then chews it as if it is the most delicious treat in the world.

This is a reenactment.  Ain't no way I'm getting up at 4:00 a.m. to document it!

This Week in Frisbee

The Clifton Township Frisbee Championship was to be held today.
Sheltie Team Frisbee United (STFU) won by default.  The team's
manager Shirley was supposed to notify other teams in the area but
she lost her phone in the pond.  Bounce doesn't have a phone because
he can't afford one.  Shirley gave him $20.00 for his birthday but he
didn't know what money was so he left it in the driveway.  But they
put on a good demonstration for the neighborhood.
